Horses & Mandalas

SOLD OUT

Contact us to find out when we’re offering the next workshop.

What time is the workshop?

9:00 a.m to 4:30 p.m.

What should I wear when I come out?

Closed-toed shoes are recommended for hygiene and safety. The workshop will be held inside a covered arena which can feel cool. Bring along a light jacket or wear a t-shirt with a long sleeved layer just in case.
Do I need horse experience?
No experience is needed. Exercises will be a mix of classroom and in the arena with horses. Qualified and insured horse handlers will be with you at all times. All exercises are guided and on the ground (no riding involved).
What’s a mandala and do I need artistic skills?
No artistic ability required. A mandala is simply a form of creative expression that shows up in a circle. Mandalas are found in various art forms all over the world. In this workshop we’ll be doing some simple intuitive mandala journaling, using the circle as a space for our journaling and doodling, as a way of exploring some of our inner truths that sometimes get buried under our rational thinking processes. It’s really simple, and anyone can do it, even if you’ve never heard of a mandala before. (I’ve done this with grade 4 & 5 students.)
Where is the workshop?

SymaTree Farm is situated on nearly 80 acres adjacent to the town of Hazelridge, Manitoba, about 20 minutes northeast of Winnipeg. The classroom takes up a corner of the 70′ x 180′ indoor arena, so participants are out of the elements, but they can still enjoy the variety of temperatures that Manitoba gifts us with!  (see map below)
